Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan McClelland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Rosario!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClelland blocks a leg kick.
A nice combination there by Rosario.
Rosario throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

McClelland manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rosario on his heels. He'll look to pass Rosario's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
McClelland trying to control the position from guard on top but Rosario is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McClelland drops back looking for a leg! Rosario is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rosario manages to kick McClelland off! McClelland jumps back into Rosario's guard.
McClelland lands a couple of decent looking shots.
McClelland has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McClelland trying to control but Rosario is working from the bottom.

McClelland drops back looking for a leg! Rosario is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rosario manages to kick McClelland off! McClelland jumps back into Rosario's guard.

McClelland thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
McClelland lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McClelland gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rosario looks to throw the jab but McClelland is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rosario closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rosario lands in his opponent's guard.

Rosario is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but McClelland has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rosario is looking to defend but McClelland has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rosario! McClelland pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rosario taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bryan McClelland!
