Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Zackary Finyard and Fred Vogel. Finyard kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Everlast - What Its Like. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Fred Vogel!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Finyard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Finyard manages to pull guard.
Vogel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Finyard dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finyard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vogel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vogel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Vogel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Finyard defends it easily.
Vogel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Finyard defends well.

Finyard pushes down on Vogel's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Finyard is pressing down on Vogel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vogel is holding on for now.
Finyard wants to work for an arm triangle but Vogel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vogel wants to get back to full guard.

Finyard trying to mount his opponent but Vogel defends it.

Finyard wants to take his opponent's back but Vogel doesn't allow it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vogel is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Vogel tries to hold on but Finyard pushes him away.
Vogel is looking to improve his position but Finyard isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Finyard is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Vogel knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Vogel for a finish.
Finyard is trying to stick to Vogel's back but Vogel is turning into Finyard. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Finyard's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Vogel.

Vogel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Finyard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Finyard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Finyard!
Vogel is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Finyard off and has taken his back!
Vogel patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Vogel looking to break Finyard's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Finyard remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Vogel will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Vogel is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Finyard with him. Finyard is trying to defend but Vogel has an arm under the chin now! Finyard grimaces and is forced to tap out!
