Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Michael Gleiser and Antonio Camatta. Michael Gleiser has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Gleiser has closed the distance and engaged Camatta in a clinch.
Camatta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gleiser walks away with a smile on his face. Camatta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Camatta fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Gleiser pushes Camatta up against the cage in a clinch.
Camatta changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gleiser fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Michael Gleiser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Camatta.

Camatta keeps the fight on the outside.
Camatta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gleiser tries to avoid it but Camatta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gleiser to the ground. Gleiser escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Camatta goes for a takedown attempt but Gleiser pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Camatta is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Camatta has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gleiser after a bit of a struggle.

Camatta changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gleiser fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gleiser tries to score a body lock takedown but Camatta shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Camatta jumps guard but Gleiser turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gleiser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Camatta tries to get to full guard but Gleiser has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Gleiser seems content to control.
Camatta is looking for a sweep. Gleiser is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Camatta is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gleiser is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gleiser avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gleiser is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Gleiser stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Camatta swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gleiser looking to sit in guard and control but Camatta gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gleiser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Camatta's guard.
Camatta is trying to hold Gleiser in close to prevent damage but Gleiser has managed to pass into half guard.

Gleiser is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Camatta is just riding it out for now. Gleiser eventually gives up the hold.

Gleiser is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gleiser tries to pass the half guard into mount. Camatta knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Camatta wants to get back to full guard.

Gleiser is thwarting Camatta's attempts to control the position.
Gleiser wants to pass the guard but Camatta is defending well.
Gleiser will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gleiser is looking to advance position but Camatta won't allow it.

Gleiser wants to control but Camatta is keeping him busy.
Camatta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Camatta is trying to maintain the position but Gleiser is very close to passing his half guard.
Gleiser takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gleiser prevents Camatta from improving his position.

Gleiser looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Camatta is looking to get back to full guard here but Gleiser has managed to pass to side control instead.
Camatta is looking for a sweep.
Camatta is holding Gleiser down, trying to stall.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Camatta's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gleiser remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Camatta gets back to half guard.
Camatta is trying to control but Gleiser manages to pass to mount!

Gleiser looking to control but Camatta is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Gleiser is looking to work his way around to Camatta's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Camatta has given up his back - I donít know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Camatta is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Gleiser.

Camatta is in bad spot here.
Gleiser really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Camatta.
Gleiser has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Camatta rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round.
Gleiser tries to pass to full mount but Camatta defends it.
Camatta tries to roll over but Gleiser keeps him under control.
Camatta is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well Gleiser has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
