PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Bubbles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petar Zdravkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Petar Zdravkov!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bubbles digs a good body shot into Zdravkov's ribs.

Zdravkov darts in and clinches Bubbles up against the cage.

Bubbles breaks the clinch.
Good leg kick by Bubbles there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bubbles throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bubbles manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zdravkov on his heels. He'll look to pass Zdravkov's guard now, I'm sure.
Bubbles's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bubbles throws a big right hand that misses.
Bubbles tries to stand but Zdravkov is controlling from the bottom.
Zdravkov has momentary wrist control but Bubbles slips an elbow through the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bubbles thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Zdravkov keeping moving, preventing Bubbles from controlling successfully.
Bubbles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Bubbles working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Zdravkov's head.

Bubbles showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Bubbles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bubbles stopping the sweep attempt from Zdravkov.
Bubbles content to stall in guard here.
Bubbles landing some decent shots from guard.
Zdravkov has a closed guard, preventing Bubbles from standing up.
Bubbles is working Zdravkov over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bubbles chips away with some ground and pound.
Bubbles slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bubbles wants to stand but Zdravkov has his arm trapped.

Bubbles thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bubbles is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Zdravkov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bubbles gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Zdravkov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bubbles lets go of the hold and Zdravkov can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ricky Bubbles!
A very excited looking Ricky Bubbles rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
