Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cardio Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine comes to the cage accompanied by Skrillex - Bangarang . The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cardio Machine!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Miller!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller is trying hard to land a takedown here. Machine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Machine really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Machine throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease.
Miller throws a head kick but Machine moves out of range.
Cardio Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machine shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Machine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Machine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Machine lands in his opponent's guard.

Miller goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Machine turns into him and now he's in Miller's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Machine's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Machine won't allow Miller to sweep him here.
Machine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Machine drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Miller manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Machine has Miller in his guard.

Miller sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Machine's guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Miller is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machine swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Miller was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Machine shoots in but Miller avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cardio Machine. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Machine closes the distance and clinches up with Miller, looking for a takedown. Machine pushes Miller against the cage but Miller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Miller stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miller wants it to stay on the feet.

Miller feints and as Machine raises his hands in defense, Miller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Miller postures up in Machine's guard and throws a big left but Machine blocks it.
Machine wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Miller manages to pass to side control.

Machine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Miller looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Miller looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Miller!

Machine has control of Miller's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Miller regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Machine postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miller looks a forlorn figure.

Machine is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Miller to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Miller shrugs it off.

Cardio Machine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
