Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phraya Phichai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demolition Man Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demolition Man Randy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phraya Phichai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Demolition Man Randy!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phichai jabs Randy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Phichai looks to score with a jab to the body but Randy is just out of range.
Randy moves out of range as Phichai strikes.

Phichai rushes Randy and presses him up against the cage.
Randy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Phichai pulls his leg out and moves away.

Phichai darts in and clinches Randy up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Phichai.
Phichai lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Phichai gets through Randy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Randy tries to pull guard but Phichai won't allow it.
Randy is trying to drag Phichai to the mat but Phichai just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Phraya Phichai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demolition Man Randy.

Randy has had enough of the clinch but Phichai keeps him there for the moment.
Phichai digs a right hand underneath Randy's ribcage. Randy let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Randy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Phichai pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Randy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Phichai manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Randy manages to get himself to full guard.
Phichai will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Phichai slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Phichai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Randy on the ground.

Phichai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Randy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Phichai is working hard here to advance position.

Randy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Phichai is aware though and is defending well.

Randy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Phichai defends it easily.
Randy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Phichai puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Randy is refusing to be controlled, as Phichai sits in half guard.

Randy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Phichai is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Randy.

Randy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Randy slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Phichai postures up.
Randy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Randy is striking from the bottom but Phichai uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Phraya Phichai will probably get the nod.

Randy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Phichai's guard.
Randy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Demolition Man Randy has got the better of the ground game so far.

Phichai bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Randy's guard.

Randy has his foot on Phichai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Phichai works his way back into a safe position though.
Randy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Phichai won't allow Randy to sweep him here.

Randy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Phichai defends well.

Phichai is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Randy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Phichai is looking to defend but Randy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Phichai! Randy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Phichai taps out and this one is all over!
