Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mac Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reza Katebi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reza Katebi!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katebi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hansen looks to land a combination. Katebi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Katebi lands a slapping body shot.
Hansen misses with a wild combination.

Hansen gets a double leg takedown into Katebi's guard.

Katebi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hansen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Katebi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hansen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Katebi.
Katebi is trying to get back to half guard.

Hansen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hansen cracks Katebi with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Hansen happy to just control the position for now.

Hansen is working to tighten is grip on Katebi's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Katebi has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hansen is really squeezing tight and eventually Katebi passes out! Hansen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
