The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sahtivaari closes the distance and pushes Russell back into the cage.
Russell is trying to push Sahtivaari away but Sahtivaari has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sahtivaari has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Russell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Russell lands a nice shot to the body.

Russell breaks from the clinch.

Russell drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Russell keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sahtivaari's head.
Sahtivaari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Russell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Russell decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Sahtivaari doesn't manage to clinch there - Russell circles away.

No luck for Russell with that takedown attempt.
Sahtivaari feints a jab promting Russell to slip. Sahtivaari then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Russell slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Russell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sahtivaari.
Russell shoots in for a takedown but Sahtivaari shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Russell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Russell lands in his opponent's guard.
Russell is looking to work some ground and pound but Sahtivaari has wrist control.
Russell passes Sahtivaari's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Russell seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sahtivaari is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
