Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Witt!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain tried to score with a low kick but Witt checks it.
Cain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Witt throws out the jab.
Crunch! Cain slams his shin into Witt's torso.
Cain scores with a nice head shot.
Cain is looking to slow Witt down with leg kicks.
Cain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Witt manages to avoid it.
Cain walks into a left hand.
Witt shoots in for a takedown but Cain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Witt looking to score a takedown here. Cain is defending well but Witt drives through and ends up in Cain's guard.

Cain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cain keeping moving, preventing Witt from controlling successfully.
Cain tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Witt is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Witt wants to control from the top but Cain keeps moving.

Witt postures up in Cain's guard and throws a big left but Cain blocks it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Aaron Witt.

Scott Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cain misses with an uppercut. Witt saw that one coming.
No luck for Cain with that takedown attempt.

Cain tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Witt looks for a takedown but Cain sprawls well.
Cain blocks a jab.
Some wild striking there from Witt.
Cain uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Witt.
Witt walks into a jab.
Witt throws a shot from downtown. Cain moves away and avoids it.
Witt looks to throw the jab but Cain is out of range.
Witt loads up on a big right hand but Cain slips the punch.
Cain delivers a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Witt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Witt takes a swing at Cain's ribcage but misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Witt misses the shot to the body.

Cain manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Witt on his heels. He'll look to pass Witt's guard now, I'm sure.

Cain wants to pass the guard but Witt is keeping the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Witt wants to sweep but no luck.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cain wants to control from the top but Witt keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cain throws a hook but Witt blocks it.
Cain lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Cain dives in and scores a takedown into Witt's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Witt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cain!
Cain is desperately trying to improve his position but Witt has a good base and remains in mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Witt looking to finish Cain with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cain!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Witt cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cain is squirming around, avoiding Witt's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Aaron Witt will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Cain defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Witt.
Witt loads up on a big right hand but Cain slips the punch.
Witt shoots in for a takedown but Cain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cain misses the shot to the body.

Cain shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cain was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Witt manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cain's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cain is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cain passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Witt!

Cain fails to move to back control.

Cain has isolated one of Witt's arms. Witt looking to fight him off but Cain twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
