Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Retsu Kaioh and Gracie Hunter. Retsu Kaioh has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Gracie Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Hunter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hunter wants to clinch

and Kaioh holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hunter tries to pull guard but Kaioh forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kaioh wants a takedown but no success here.
Hunter tries to pull guard but Kaioh won't allow it.
Hunter is trying to pull guard but Kaioh has him pressed against the cage.
Retsu Kaioh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gracie Hunter.

Kaioh has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hunter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kaioh drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hunter pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kaioh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hunter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hunter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kaioh.
Hunter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kaioh to keep the fight standing.

Hunter jumps guard but Kaioh stands there with Hunter around his waist. Hunter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hunter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kaioh walks away with a smile on his face. Hunter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kaioh tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gracie Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaioh as he jumps to the side.

Hunter wants to clinch

and Kaioh moves into the clinch.
Hunter fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kaioh turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kaioh thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kaioh working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Retsu Kaioh.
