And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesus Quintana!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Za.
Quintana slaps away a takedown attempt from Za, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Quintana shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Za manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Quintana wants to control from the top but Za keeps moving.

Za looking for a guillotine here but Quintana defends easily.
Quintana stands and throws Za's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Quintana is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Za has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Quintana looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Quintana is looking to take a break and control but Za is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Quintana thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Quintana is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Za has escaped the position, nice work there.

Quintana controls the position.
Za wants to control but Quintana postures up.
Quintana trying to control the position but Za is working away.

Quintana looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Za is trying to control Quintana's posture but Quintana avoids it.

Quintana is working to tighten is grip on Za's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Za has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Quintana is really squeezing tight and eventually Za passes out! Quintana breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
