The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Away, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Away's shoulder, as Away tries to avoid the shot.
Away fails with a takedown attempt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Smith.

Away shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Smith wants to sweep here but Away controlling him for the moment.
Away landing with the ground and pound.
Smith avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

A relieved looking Maubee Away thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
