Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vaimaa Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aloysius Martin Thesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatu comes to the cage accompanied by So Close Now. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Aloysius Martin Thesz was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vaimaa Fatu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aloysius Martin Thesz!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatu scores with a kick to the midsection.
Thesz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Thesz tried to score with a low kick but Fatu checks it.
Thesz fails with a takedown attempt.
Fatu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thesz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fatu walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Thesz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Fatu tries a head kick but it misses.
Fatu swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thesz.


It looks like Aloysius Martin Thesz has been cut.
Vaimaa Fatu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fatu is looking to score with low kicks.
The fighters circling - Thesz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Thesz checks a leg kick.
Fatu takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Thesz slips a straight right by Fatu.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Thesz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Thesz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fatu is just riding it out for now. Thesz eventually gives up the hold.
Thesz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Fatu trying to control but Thesz postures up.
Thesz thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thesz is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Thesz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fatu pulls Thesz in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thesz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Thesz advances position into side control!
Thesz is putting a hurting on Fatu here, landing some big shots from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fatu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Thesz works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Thesz sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Thesz trying to control but Fatu is having none of it.
Fatu is in a horrible position here. Thesz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fatu is squirming around, avoiding Thesz's attempts to control the action.
Thesz throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thesz with shots to the head and body - Fatu looks very uncomfortable down there.
Poor strikes thrown by Thesz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Thesz scores with a couple of good head shots there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thesz looking to finish with strikes here!
Thesz landing strikes from the mount.
Thesz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Thesz tries to control but Fatu wriggling away.
Fatu is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Thesz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fatu manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aloysius Martin Thesz dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Aloysius Martin Thesz's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Thesz cracks Fatu with a good jab.
Fatu throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Fatu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Thesz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Fatu with a jab.
Fatu uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fatu throws a sloppy head kick and Thesz moves out of range easily.
Thesz moves out of range of the strikes.
Fatu misses with a looping left.
Fatu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thesz manages to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thesz throws a leg kick
enabling Fatu to counter with a crisp jab.
Thesz avoids the head kick by Fatu.
Thesz lands with a shot to the body.
Fatu misses with a head kick.
Fatu throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fatu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Vaimaa Fatu is winning the standup battle so far.
A big left from Fatu misses.
Fatu cracks Thesz with a good jab.
Fatu misses with a hook.
Thesz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


Thesz is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fatu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Thesz is still on wobbly legs! Can Fatu finish him?
Thesz is breathing heavily.
Fatu scores with a leg kick.
Look low, kick high! Fatu uses the oldest trick in the book to send Thesz tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Fatu is absolutely delighted - when Thesz wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vaimaa Fatu!
Post fight, an emotional Vaimaa Fatu said '*Performs the Siva Afi dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73OGSGD9_Co) then walks out of the cage*'.
