The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pirrup bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rogers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pirrup.

Pirrup looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogers is fending him off so far but Pirrup persists. Nope, Rogers circles away and we're back to standing.

Rogers wants to stand but Pirrup is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pirrup is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rogers has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rogers!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pirrup shoots in looking for a takedown but Rogers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pirrup's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rogers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pirrup is breathing heavily.
Pirrup shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but Pirrup keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pirrup tries to move into range but Rogers moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pirrup gets a clinch.

Rogers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rogers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pirrup tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rogers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pirrup doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rogers throws a big shot that misses.
Pirrup looks for a takedown but Rogers sprawls well.
Jason Rogers seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rogers stuffs the takedown attempt from Pirrup. Pirrup gets slowly back to his feet.
Pirrup looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pirrup dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Pirrup's head and hops out.

It looks like Phillip Pirrup has been cut.
Rogers fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pirrup has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pirrup there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogers misses the shot to the body.
Rogers lands a slapping body shot.

Pirrup blocks a jab.

Rogers drops Pirrup with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pirrup looks back up at him and smiles so Rogers waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Pirrup is rocked!
Pirrup gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Rogers points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Pirrup wakes up just in time to hear Rogers thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
