The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper takes one to the side of the head.
Pepper misses with the combination.
Gruber throws a leg kick but Pepper moved away.
Gruber paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Bruce Pepper has been cut.
Pepper really is a fat lump.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gruber closes the distance and clinches.

Pepper is breathing heavily.
Gruber breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gruber fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pepper, pushing him back against the cage.
Gruber manages to break the clinch.
Gruber throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pepper was covering up waiting for the punch and Gruber finishes the takedown easily into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gruber is in close to Pepper's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Gruber lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Pepper has momentary wrist control but Gruber slips an elbow through the middle.

Gruber gets to his feet and stands over Pepper, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Pepper felt that one! Gruber unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Pepper from any more punishment!
