Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vanapa Animai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drille Nissen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Animai comes to the cage accompanied by Here comes the hotstepper. Drille Nissen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nissen closes the distance and clinches.

Nissen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Animai walks into a straight right hand from Nissen.
Animai shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nissen but Nissen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nissen throws a series of punches but Animai avoids them all with ease.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Animai on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nissen throws a shot to the body.
Animai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nissen swivels and escapes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Animai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nissen avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vanapa Animai. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nissen has closed the distance and engaged Animai in a clinch.
Nissen lands with a right to the head.
Animai wants to break free but Nissen has control.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Animai has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nissen uses from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nissen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nissen stays in close to Animai's body and controls the position.
Nissen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Animai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Animai is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Nissen rolls with it to try and escape but Animai cranks on the arm and Nissen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
