PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juha Ahokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Method Man, Redman - Da Rockwilder. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power defending well as Ahokas loads up on a big left hand.
A head kick misses from Power.
Ahokas throws a body punch but Power moves out of range.
Ahokas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ahokas shoots in and gets a takedown into Power's guard.
Power looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Power has his hands on Ahokas's head, controlling the position.
Let's hope that Power has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Ahokas won't allow Power to sweep him here.

Ahokas looking to sit in guard and control but Power gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Power tries to free his leg and advance position but Ahokas is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Juha Ahokas.
Power lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ahokas scores with a jab. Power acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Power throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ahokas connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Max Power has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ahokas takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Power defending well as Ahokas loads up on a big left hand.
A solid leg kick lands there for Power.
Power darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ahokas shoots in looking for a takedown but Power manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ahokas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Max Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Power slips a jab from Ahokas.
Power showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ahokas.
Power buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ahokas looks to score with a jab to the body but Power is just out of range.
Power throws a sloppy head kick and Ahokas moves out of range easily.

Power walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ahokas needs to keep his hands up - Power had a free shot at his head there.

Power pushes Ahokas away with a front kick.
Power catches Ahokas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Power misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ahokas with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Power to score with a decent uppercut.
Ahokas throws a body punch but Power moves out of range.

and Power counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A nice inside leg kick there by Power. That's going to slow Ahokas down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ahokas takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ahokas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Power.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ahokas takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Power counters with a low kick, right behind Ahokas 's knee.
Ahokas gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Power.
Power jabs Ahokas right on the nose. Ahokas blinks but takes it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Power lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Power scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Power lands with a kick to the ribs.

Ahokas is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ahokas just misses with a punch to the body.
Power fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ahokas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ahokas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Power sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ahokas somewhat.
Power lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ahokas's sensitive parts.

Power fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ahokas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Power clobbers Ahokas with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ahokas has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Power.
A slapping leg kick lands for Power.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ahokas on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Power has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Power feints and then cracks Ahokas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ahokas down.
Power throws a leg kick which misses Ahokas's front leg but catches the back leg as Ahokas tries to avoid it.
Power connects with a leg kick. Ahokas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Max Power seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Power counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Power throws a leg kick which misses Ahokas's front leg but catches the back leg as Ahokas tries to avoid it.
Ahokas chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Power can pounce on him.
Ahokas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ahokas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ahokas throws a shot from downtown. Power moves away and avoids it.

Power scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ahokas in his tracks.

Power fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ahokas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Ahokas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Power uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ahokas has time to react.
Power thows a body kick. Ahokas tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Power cracks Ahokas with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Power has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ahokas to stand back up!

Max Power showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Power lands a big head kick that sends Ahokas tumbling to the mat! Power takes a step backwards and waves Ahokas back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Ahokas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Power walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ahokas drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Power swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ahokas's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Power!
