The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wicked moves out of range of the body kick from Thompson.
Wicked throws out a loose jab but Thompson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Benny Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Thompson stands up from Wicked's guard - Thompson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Thompson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wicked.
