The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman lands the left hand.

It looks like Rami Kottari has been cut.
Kottari walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Bateman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kottari on the side of the head.

Bateman lands a big right hand that sends Kottari crashing to the mat! Bateman stays standing though and waves Kottari back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bateman sends Kottari crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bateman is motioning to the referee to let Kottari up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Kottari is rocked!
Horrible takedown by Kottari or perhaps it was just good defense by Bateman which made him look bad.
Oh Kottari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bateman is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Bateman bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kottari's head.
Bateman walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kottari checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kottari seems to have got his legs back now.
A good leg kick by Bateman.
Bateman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bateman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A slow jab from Bateman misses its intended target.

Bateman lands a big right hand that sends Kottari crashing to the mat! Bateman stays standing though and waves Kottari back to his feet!

Rami Kottari's cut is getting worse.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kottari slips a straight right by Bateman.
Bateman misses with a straight left.
Bateman misses with a leg kick.
Bateman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kottari sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kottari staying out of range there.
Bateman lands with an overhand left.
Bateman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kottari.
Bateman throws a body punch but Kottari moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from Kottari.
Kottari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bateman moves away.
Bateman slips a straight right by Kottari.
Bateman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kottaris jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
BOOM! Bateman lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kottari. Kottari tries to recover but Bateman is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kottari lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
