Ricardo misses with an uppercut

and Meredith moves into the clinch.
Meredith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ricardo is trying to drag Meredith to the mat but Meredith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ricardo is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Meredith is defending well.
Ricardo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Meredith gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Burgess Meredith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Ricardo.

Meredith gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Ricardo is trying to maintain the position but Meredith is very close to passing his half guard.

Ricardo is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Meredith has latched onto it... Big trouble! Meredith pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Ricardo is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Meredith!
