Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slice has chosen Last Resort-Papa Roach as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. King Kong has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice misses with a series of wild punches.
Kong has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Slice finds it's way round the side to connect with Kong's head.
Slice throws a hook but Kong blocks it.
Slice tries to bum rush Kong with a series of wild strikes but Kong uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kong.
Kong misses with a head kick.
Slice swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Slice throws a sloppy head kick and Kong moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Slice, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Slice counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kong keeps control of Slice as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kong is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slice to keep the fight standing.

Kong drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kong is fighting off a takedown attempt but Slice is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kong to the mat. Kong regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Slice stops Kong from standing up.

Slice working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kong's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kong can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slice controls the pace.
Kong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Slice is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Kong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sloppy strikes from Slice. Those never looked like landing.

Kong moves into range and clinches up with Slice.

Kong feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
