Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmer Octopulus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks has chosen Carlton Dance Medley as his entrance music. Carlton Banks is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmer Octopulus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlton Banks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Octopulus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Banks moves away.
Banks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Banks is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Banks throws a nice outside leg kick.
Octopulus takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Octopulus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banks but Banks pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Octopulus misses the shot to the body.
Octopulus blocks a head kick by Banks.
Banks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Octopulus can pounce on him.
Banks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Octopulus feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Banks's calf.
Banks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Octopulus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Octopulus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Octopulus counters with a nice uppercut.
Banks moves out of range of the leg kick from Octopulus.
Octopulus fails to land with a series of punches.
Octopulus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banks wants to clinch up but Octopulus keeps it at a distance.
Octopulus scores with a decent looking hook.
Banks takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nice straight punches there by Octopulus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Octopulus.
Octopulus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Banks checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Carlton Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Octopulus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Octopulus blocks a head kick by Banks.
Banks scores with a head kick. Octopulus tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Banks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Octopulus catches Banks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Banks pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Octopulus throws a shot from downtown. Banks moves away and avoids it.
Carlton Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Octopulus looks to land a combination. Banks sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Octopulus swings for the body but Banks moves out of range.

The ground and pound from Octopulus seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Banks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Octopulus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Octopulus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Banks keeps working.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Octopulus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Octopulus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Octopulus ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Octopulus no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Octopulus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Banks's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Octopulus takes a swing at Banks's ribcage but misses.
Octopulus lands with a kick to the temple. Banks shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Octopulus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Banks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Banks is looking to clinch.

Octopulus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Banks's guard.
Octopulus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Octopulus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Octopulus stands up over Banks, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Banks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Octopulus defends it easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Octopulus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Octopulus slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Banks.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Octopulus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Banks with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jimmer Octopulus showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Octopulus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
