These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Losev dives in for a single leg takedown but Rico sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rico prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rico utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Losev is working for takedown but Rico is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikolai Losev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rico.
Rico is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Losev is keeping busy.
Losev blocks an uppercut.
Losev is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rico taking a breather.
Losev is trying to drag Rico to the mat but Rico just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rico stalls.
Losev can't get the takedown.
Rico is pressed up against the cage. Losev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rico down to the mat. Rico avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rico connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Nikolai Losev has been cut.
Losev fails to land the takedown.
Crack! Rico connects with the perfect overhand right and Losev falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Rico!

After winning the bout, Johnny Rico thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
