Barksdale comes to the cage accompanied by Three Six Mafia - Its A Fight . Summers has chosen Conflict-Disturbed as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Summers!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers missing with a left hand there. Barksdale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Summers clinches with his opponent.
Summers digs a right hand into Barksdale's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Barksdale's gas tank.
Summers blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Summers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barksdale misses with a kick to the body
and Summers counters with a straight right hand.
Summers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barksdale needs to keep his hands up - Summers had a free shot at his head there.
Barksdale turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Summers stalks Barksdale and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barksdale's face. Barksdale staggers backwards, shaken.

Summers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barksdale circles away quickly and effectively.

and Summers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Summers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barksdale sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Summers somewhat.
Avon Barksdale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Summers.
The fighters circle momentarily. Summers darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Summers swats away the attempt to clinch by Barksdale.

Barksdale throws a wild hook but Summers just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Barksdale gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Summers raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
