Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Yakimyuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Flanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Flanders's choice of entrance music: Jaw of Glass - Blondie. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yakimyuk clinches up with Flanders and pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Yakimyuk fails to land.

Flanders breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flanders tries to score with a low kick but Yakimyuk moves his leg out of the way.
The fighters circle momentarily. Yakimyuk darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Flanders lands with a kick to the temple. Yakimyuk shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Flanders is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Yakimyuk misses with an uppercut. Flanders saw that one coming.
Flanders lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Yakimyuk bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Flanders's head backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yakimyuk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Flanders manages to avoid it.
Yakimyuk looks to throw the jab but Flanders is out of range.
Flanders connects with an inside leg kick.

Yakimyuk scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Yakimyuk throws a leg kick but Flanders moved away.
Yakimyuk loads up on a big right hand but Flanders slips the punch.
Yakimyuk buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Yakimyuk ducks right into an uppercut from Flanders.
A clash of legs there as Flanders blocks the low kick.
Some wild striking there from Flanders.
Yakimyuk throws a big shot that misses.
Yakimyuk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flanders swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yakimyuk lands with an overhand left.
Flanders looks for the body kick but Yakimyuk saw that one coming.
Yakimyuk connects with a good right hand that stumbles Flanders. Flanders circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Flanders is rocked!
Yakimyuk cracks Flanders with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Flanders falls to his knees and Yakimyuk doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
