Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Evurts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evurts is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Welcome to the Jungle. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephan Evurts!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evurts bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Kappa! He dives into his guard looking to finish!


It looks like David Kappa has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kappa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Evurts wants to control from the top but Kappa keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Stephan Evurts hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kappa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

You get the feeling that Evurts really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Kappa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Evurts for as long as he can get away with.
Kappa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Evurts throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Evurts keeps control of Kappa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That kick from Kappa tenderised Evurts's leg. Evurts is trying to keep his angry face on.

Evurts closes the distance and pushes Kappa back into the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kappa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Evurts might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Evurts walks into a stiff left hand from Kappa.

Kappa lands a big head kick that sends Evurts tumbling to the mat! Kappa takes a step backwards and waves Evurts back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Evurts is rocked!
Kappa lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Evurts is looking to close the distance but Kappa sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Evurts crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Evurts is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). David Kappa!

Post fight, David Kappa stared into the camera and said 'Who's next motherfucker!? NO ONE TAKES MY BELT, BRING IT ON!'.
