Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chibi Tsushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Esteban Delgado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chibi Tsushima!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsushima blocks a jab.
Tsushima goes for a double leg but Delgado avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Delgado continues to drive forward.

Tsushima is trying to trip Delgado. He has hold of a leg but Delgado is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tsushima persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Tsushima is working Delgado over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tsushima postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Delgado manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tsushima manages to get himself to full guard.
Tsushima is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tsushima wants to sweep here but Delgado controlling him for the moment.
Tsushima has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chibi Tsushima has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Delgado stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Delgado throws a punch but it's blocked by Tsushima.
Delgado is trying to stall.
Delgado will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Tsushima up against the cage.
Delgado is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tsushima to keep the fight standing.

Delgado is pressed up against the cage. Tsushima has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Delgado down to the mat. Delgado avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A head kick from Tsushima lands but Delgado takes it in his stride.

and Delgado counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Delgado winds up and cracks Tsushima with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Delgado content to control rather than advance.

Delgado is taking a breather. Tsushima says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tsushima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Esteban Delgado wasn't doing enough on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Esteban Delgado will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tsushima tries to score a power double leg takedown but Delgado sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tsushima somewhat.

Tsushima utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tsushima lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Delgado!

Delgado is bucking up trying to escape but Tsushima cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Tsushima throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Tsushima tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tsushima can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Delgado is looking to escape.

Delgado wants to control but Tsushima is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Delgado tries to reverse the position but Tsushima maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chibi Tsushima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Tsushima clobbers Delgado with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Chibi Tsushima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Esteban Delgado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chibi Tsushima.
Delgado on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Tsushima tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Delgado paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Delgado scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tsushima misses with a straight left.

so Delgado counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Esteban Delgado showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Delgado has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
