Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryuken Yanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neeyo Collin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Collin has chosen Bagsakan - Collaboration as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryuken Yanagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Neeyo Collin!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yanagi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Collin counters with a stiff right hand.
Collin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yanagi.
A slow jab from Collin misses its intended target.
Yanagi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Collin counters with a shoot takedown. Yanagi fights it but they end up in guard.
Collin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Yanagi's head.

Collin is looking to work some ground and pound but Yanagi has wrist control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Collin throws a leg kick which misses Yanagi's front leg but catches the back leg as Yanagi tries to avoid it.
Collin misses with an uppercut. Yanagi saw that one coming.

Collin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Collin thows a huge punch but Yanagi dodges it nicely.

Yanagi tries to get to full guard but Collin has control of the leg.
Collin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yanagi's head.
Collin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yanagi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Collin throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Yanagi to regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yanagi trying to keep a closed guard but Collin is proving a slippery customer.
Collin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Collin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Collin looking to sit in guard and control but Yanagi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Yanagi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Collin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yanagi has managed to get both his arms back between Collin's legs - danger averted.

Collin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yanagi!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yanagi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Collin throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Yanagi because Collin loaded up on that one.
Collin pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neeyo Collin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Yanagi moves away from the strike by Collin.
Collin slaps away a takedown attempt from Yanagi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yanagi tries for a takedown but Collin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yanagi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Collin pinned against the cage. Collin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryuken Yanagi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Collin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yanagi tries to avoid it but Collin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yanagi to the ground. Yanagi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Yanagi drives through with a takedown into Collin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Yanagi dives in for a single leg takedown but Collin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Collin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Collin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yanagi as he avoids it easily.
Yanagi shoots for a double leg takedown but Collin sprawls well. He's pushed Yanagi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yanagi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Collin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Collin wants it to stay on the feet.

Collin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yanagi's guard.

Collin wants to improve his position but Yanagi is controlling well.

Neeyo Collin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Collin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
