The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayor cracks Simpkins with an open hand slap.
Simpkins misses with a straight left.
Mayor connects with a nice looking jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Simpkins on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mayor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simpkins manages to avoid it.
Simpkins looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mayor feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Simpkins sprawling to the canvas! Simpkins rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mayor finish him?!

Simpkins is rocked!
Simpkins glances at the clock... BAM! Mayor nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Simpkins crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Simpkins is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
