Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Giljotin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Declan Duddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giljotin comes to the cage accompanied by Ticon - Miss 11 PM (DJ CHILLER REMIX 2011) . Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, David Giljotin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Declan Duddy!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duddy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Duddy throws a hook to the side of Giljotin's head but Giljotin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice takedown defense from Duddy. No joy for Giljotin on that attempt.
Duddy missing with a left hand there. Giljotin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Duddy misses with a body shot.
Duddy feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Giljotin's calf.
Duddy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Giljotin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Duddy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Giljotin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Giljotin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Giljotin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Giljotin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Giljotin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Duddy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Duddy is trying to get back to his feet.

Giljotin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Giljotin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Duddy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Giljotin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Duddy defends it well.

Giljotin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Duddy sees it coming and defends easily.
Duddy is trying to stand up here but Giljotin is controlling him well.
Giljotin wants to advance to full mount but Duddy doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Giljotin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Duddy slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Giljotin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Duddy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Duddy has escaped and now he's on top!
Duddy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Giljotin is proving hard to escape from.

Duddy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Giljotin, up you get!

and Giljotin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Giljotin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Duddy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Duddy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Duddy breaks the clinch.
Duddy throws a right and a left that Giljotin avoids nicely.
A swing and a miss from Duddy.
Nice uppercut lands for Duddy. That snapped Giljotin's head back.

Giljotin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Giljotin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Duddy wants to improve his position but Giljotin is controlling well.

A close round but Declan Duddy will probably get the nod.

Duddy throws a lazy right hand but Giljotin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Giljotin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Giljotin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Duddy is fending him off so far but Giljotin persists. Nope, Duddy circles away and we're back to standing.
Giljotin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Giljotin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Duddy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

David Giljotin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Giljotin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Duddy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

David Giljotin dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Giljotin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Giljotin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Giljotin passes easily into side control. Nice work.

You can see the frustration on Duddy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Giljotin throws an elbow but Duddy slips to the side and avoids it well.

Giljotin decides to stand back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

No joy there for Duddy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Giljotin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duddy as he jumps to the side.

and Giljotin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Giljotin.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Giljotin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Giljotin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Giljotin postures up.
Duddy looking for a sweep. Not yet Duddy, not yet.
Duddy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Giljotin stands up over Duddy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Giljotin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Giljotin has gone for a leg lock! Duddy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Giljotin's guard.

Giljotin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

David Giljotin showed his dominance in that final round.
