Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Will Frampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Gaarlandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesus Gaarlandt is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Frampton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesus Gaarlandt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gaarlandt tries to sprawl but Frampton drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Frampton not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Frampton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Frampton stops Gaarlandt from getting back to his feet.
Frampton seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gaarlandt wants to get back to full guard.
Frampton is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Will Frampton just wasn't active enough.

Frampton drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gaarlandt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frampton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gaarlandt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frampton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gaarlandt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frampton is one step ahead there.

Frampton trying to control the position from guard on top but Gaarlandt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Frampton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Will Frampton has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Gaarlandt shoots in for a takedown but Frampton shows good takedown defense.

Frampton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Frampton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gaarlandt keeps working.
Frampton throws an elbow but Gaarlandt slips to the side and avoids it well.

Frampton slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Frampton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gaarlandt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Will Frampton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frampton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gaarlandt's guard.
Gaarlandt is trying to hold Frampton in close to prevent damage but Frampton has managed to pass into half guard.

Gaarlandt kicks Frampton off and gets back to his feet.
Gaarlandt shoots in looking for a takedown. Frampton tries to sprawl out of it but Gaarlandt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Frampton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gaarlandt tries to close the distance and clinch but Frampton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gaarlandt gets caught napping as Frampton dives in and scores a takedown. Gaarlandt manages to retain guard.

Frampton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gaarlandt to the ground. Frampton is now in Gaarlandt's guard.

Gaarlandt tries to buck Frampton off but Frampton is having none of it.

Frampton swings around for an armbar but Gaarlandt sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Frampton's guard.
Gaarlandt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frampton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Frampton tries to work over Gaarlandt's front leg with a kick but Gaarlandt checks it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Frampton won't allow Gaarlandt to get back to his feet.
Frampton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
