The crowd seem to be enjoying Pugachov's choice of entrance music: Du Hast. Craig Potz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potz darts in trying to clinch

and Pugachov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Pugachov seems content to control.
Pugachov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pugachov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Potz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Potz tries to get out of the position.

Potz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pugachov on the ground.
Pugachov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Potz keeps working.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looks like Craig Potz has been cut.
Potz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pugachov scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pugachov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Potz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Potz is desperately trying to improve his position but Pugachov has a good base and remains in mount.

Emelyan Pugachov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
