PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jr Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams has chosen 'Looking For The Stone' by Dry Branch Fire Squad as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tristan Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jr Adams!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Adams smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tristan Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Adams throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Adams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lee!

Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Adams decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lee to his feet.
Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Adams counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Adams lands a couple of digs.
Adams makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Adams with a nice head shot there.
Lee is breathing heavily.
Adams scoring with punches to the head and body.
Adams forces his way into half guard.
Lee could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Adams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lee is just riding it out for now. Adams eventually gives up the hold.
Adams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Adams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Adams is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adams is working away from the top position though.

Lee is defending against the submission attempts here by Adams.

Adams wants to work for an arm triangle but Lee is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lee is in trouble now - Adams has advanced to mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Adams is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lee can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Adams lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Adams is landing with some decent strikes but Lee is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Adams lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jr Adams dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Adams drives through and clinches with Lee against the cage.

Oh Lee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lee is trying to force a seperation but Adams has the dominant position.

Lee seems to have got his legs back now.
Lee tries to pull guard but Adams won't allow it.
Lee trying to stall but Adams improves his position.
Adams stalling in the clinch.
Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Adams has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lee regains guard immediately.
Lee wants to stand up but Adams is controlling him.
Adams advances to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Adams not doing much here.
Adams trying to mount his opponent but Lee defends it.
Adams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Adams frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Adams cracks Lee with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lee takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Adams's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jr Adams!
Jr Adams seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
