Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalton Pressnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks clinches with his opponent.

Brooks tries for a takedown but Pressnell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Pressnell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brooks's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Pressnell is stalling in the full guard.

Pressnell is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Brooks is working an open guard so Pressnell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Pressnell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pressnell decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dakota Brooks will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dakota Brooks.
