Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emanoel Moreno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Jecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jecht comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Lumberjack kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sir Jecht!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jecht lets loose with a powerful body kick. Moreno will feel that in the morning.
Jecht connects with a body shot.

Jecht looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Moreno is staying active underneath Jecht, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jecht in particular looking to stall.
Jecht tries to pass the half guard into mount. Moreno knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Moreno keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Moreno wants to control but Jecht is keeping busy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moreno is looking to take a break and control but Jecht is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moreno is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jecht reverses the position - he's now on top in Moreno's guard.

Jecht stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moreno swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Moreno wants to sweep but no luck.
Moreno might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moreno is on top in guard.

Jecht is still trying to improve position.

Jecht utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Moreno throws a jab but it's blocked by Jecht.
Moreno fails with the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Emanoel Moreno will probably get the nod.
That's time! Moreno's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

No luck for Moreno with that takedown attempt.

Jecht swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Moreno counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moreno.
Jecht looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moreno is one step ahead there.
Moreno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jecht is trying to control the position but Moreno postures up.
Moreno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jecht swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Emanoel Moreno overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Moreno is working hard here to advance position.
Jecht wants to sweep here but Moreno controlling him for the moment.
Moreno is pushing down on Jecht's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jecht is fighting to maintain full guard but Moreno has managed to sneak the leg through.

Moreno winds up and cracks Jecht with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Moreno postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jecht looks a forlorn figure.
BOOM! Moreno connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jecht is rocked!

Moreno lands a big shot to the head and Jecht winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
