The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barca misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hype has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barca blocks a body shot from Hype.
Hype tries to score a body lock takedown but Barca shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Barca displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hype up against the cage.
Barca stops a takedown attempt from Hype.
Hype doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hype tries to work over Barca's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hype creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Hannibal Barca has been cut.

Barca is trying to push Hype away but Hype has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Barca definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Barca's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hype fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barca avoids it really well and circles away.
Hannibal Barca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hannibal Hype.

Hype takes the fight into the clinch.
Hype works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The referee is keeping an eye on Hype - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Hype tries to work over Barca's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Barca is looking to break free of the clinch but Hype has double underhooks.
Barca tries to circle away but Hype has him pinned against the cage.

Hype is trying to drag Barca to the mat but Barca just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Barca is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

The crowd are getting on Hype's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Hype is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Barca is defending well.

Barca has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Hype blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hype has Barca pressed against the cage, preventing Barca from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Barca tries to keep at a distance but Hype has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hype has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Barca clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hype is landing with strikes from the back.
Barca takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Hype misses with an elbow to the head.
Hype is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Barca up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Hype.

Barca is rocked!

Hannibal Barca's cut is getting worse.
Barca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hype on the ground.
Hype lands strikes from the back and Barca isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.

Hannibal Hype is the new light heavyweight champion!
After the fight, Hannibal Hype was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
