Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jatlier Smokeleaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smokeleaf gets caught flat footed, as Soderberg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Smokeleaf looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Soderberg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smokeleaf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Soderberg has managed to get both his arms back between Smokeleaf's legs - danger averted.
