Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patton comes to the cage accompanied by Marilyn Manson - Born Villain . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rufus Soderberg was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton stuffs the takedown attempt from Soderberg. Soderberg gets slowly back to his feet.

Patton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Soderberg manages to avoid it.

We've been informed that Soderberg has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Patton drops his hands momentarily and Soderberg takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soderberg jumps guard and drags Patton to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Patton is sitting in close to Soderberg's body. Soderberg has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Patton is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Patton is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Soderberg.
