The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a leg kick

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Williams does a little dance to reset his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Williams holds on and takes a little breather.

We're going to have a standup here because Simon Williams wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Williams lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Williams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johnson.
Williams throws a front kick aimed at Johnson's knee but Johnson avoids it well.

That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Williams has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Johnson.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Williams punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch.
Williams tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Johnson is able to avoid easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Williams.

Williams lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Williams takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Johnson is rocked!
Simon Williams is winning the standup battle so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Johnson out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
