Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Butterfly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazushi Sakuraba had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Brett Butterfly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butterfly connects with a leg kick. Sakuraba looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Butterfly lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sakuraba misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Butterfly fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sakuraba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Butterfly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Butterfly scores with a sloppy right hand. Sakuraba should have avoided that one.

Sakuraba throws a head kick that Butterfly semi-blocks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sakuraba bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Butterfly feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sakuraba's calf.

and Butterfly counters with a nice leg kick.
Butterfly throws a sloppy head kick and Sakuraba moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Butterfly, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sakuraba misses with an uppercut. Butterfly saw that one coming.
Butterfly looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Butterfly lunges at Sakuraba with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sakuraba's hand.
Butterfly moves into range and clinches up with Sakuraba.

Butterfly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Brett Butterfly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick by Butterfly - that's a beauty! Sakuraba is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Butterfly can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
