The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Riordan slips a jab and a cross from Clark.
Clark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Clark looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Riordan!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Clark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riordan keeps working.
Riordan manages to get back to half guard.
Riordan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've been hearing good reports from Riordan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Clark avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riordan controls Clark momentarily but Clark frees himself.

Clark seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Clark wants to control but Riordan is having none of it.

Riordan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Riordan forces the positional change into back control.

Riordan working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Clark is doing well to defend. Riordan seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Clark is forced to tap and this one is over!
