With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Emunn Samvesu!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McClelland clinches up with Samvesu and pushes him back against the ropes.
McClelland trying to control the position but instead, Samvesu has worked for underhooks and has pushed McClelland into the ropes.

McClelland has picked Samvesu up - he's going for a ride! McClelland dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Samvesu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McClelland pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We've been hearing good reports from McClelland's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Samvesu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McClelland manages to get himself to full guard.

Samvesu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McClelland to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Samvesu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McClelland pulls down on the head and he's put Samvesu to sleep! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Bryan McClelland thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
