The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aikawa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Aikawa lands a nice hook to Dekker's body. Dekker takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Aikawa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dekkers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dekker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dekker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aikawa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Aikawa has taken the fight to the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aikawa tries to land knees in the clinch but Dekker avoids the damage to the body.

Dekker is trying to drag Aikawa to the mat but Aikawa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
