Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Maiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Napalm Chief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maiden comes to the cage accompanied by Walk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Napalm Chief!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chief uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maiden.

Eddy Maiden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maiden's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Maiden tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Chief lands with a nice body punch.

and Chief counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
That kick from Chief tenderised Maiden's leg. Maiden is trying to keep his angry face on.
Chief is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Maiden rather than just go for the knockout.
Maiden doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Maiden will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eddy Maiden will probably get the nod.

Maiden shoots in looking for a takedown but Chief manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maiden's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
