Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Connely sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kimura gets the takedown into side control.
Kimura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Connely is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kimura is looking to take a break and control but Connely is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kimura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Connely is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kimura's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kimura's back!

Kimura tries to hold on but Connely pushes him away.

A close round but Dan Connely will probably get the nod.

Connely cracks Kimura with a good jab.
Kimura displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Connely throws out the jab.
Kimura shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Connely feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kimura has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Connely is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kimura.

Connely creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kimura sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kimura is persistently looking for the submission but Connely is defending it well.
Kimura has the hooks in. Connely is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Connely surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
Kimura is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Connely defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Kimura is working for a rear naked choke. Connely is not defending it well and Kimura has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Connely refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Connely's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
