Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hannes Hellberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karri Koira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hannes Hellberg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellberg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hellberg swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Koira counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Koira doesn't manage to clinch there - Hellberg circles away.

Hellberg takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hellberg throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hellberg throws out a loose jab but Koira uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hellberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Koira as he jumps to the side.

Koira leaves Hellberg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Koira lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hellberg is trying to force a seperation but Koira has the dominant position.

Hellberg has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Koira is trying to keep an underhook but Hellberg manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Koira tries to roll over but Hellberg keeps him under control.
Koira is looking to control Hellberg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koira avoid being mounted?

Hellberg wants to work for an arm triangle but Koira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hellberg thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Koira is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Koira pulls Hellberg in close to his closed guard and prevents Hellberg from doing any damage or advancing position.

Koira has Hellberg pulled in close to control his posture.
We've been hearing that Hellberg has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Koira wants to sweep here but Hellberg controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Karri Koira.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Koira, as that shot connected.

Koira rushes Hellberg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hellberg is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Koira gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hellberg tries to score a body lock takedown but Koira shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Koira creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Koira's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Hellberg goes for a takedown in the clinch but Koira prevents it.
Koira lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Come on Koira - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Hellberg breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hellberg fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Koira rushes Hellberg and presses him up against the cage.
Koira keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hellberg's efforts to push away.
Hellberg swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Koira gets through Hellberg's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Koira has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hellberg tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Koira is leaning against Hellberg and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Hellberg is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Koira pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hellberg has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Koira regains guard immediately.

Koira is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Koira is on top in guard.
Koira trying to control the position from guard on top but Hellberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karri Koira dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hellberg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koira tries to avoid it but Hellberg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koira to the ground. Koira escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Koira tests Hellberg's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Karri Koira is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hellberg looks to score with a jab to the body but Koira is just out of range.

and Koira counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Koira lands a nice hook to Hellberg's body. Hellberg takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Koira scores with the left hand. Hellberg knows he should have avoided that one.
Koira fails with an attempt to clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Koira.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Koira counters with a crisp one two that drops Hellberg! Koira thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hellberg to his feet! Hellberg is in big trouble!

Koira pushes Hellberg back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Koira creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Hellberg with a big uppercut! Hellberg tries to clinch up but Koira pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Hellberg to the mat! Hellberg covers up and Koira unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
