Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Vovkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Here comes the boom. Vlad Vovkov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Vovkov keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass.
Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Silva working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vovkov's head.

Vovkov throws his legs up looking for a submission but Silva uses it to pass to side control.
Silva taking a break here but Vovkov is having none of it and regains half guard.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vovkov keeps working.

Silva tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Vovkov.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva wants to stand up but Vovkov is controlling the position.
Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Vovkov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily.
Silva is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Silva is pressing down on Vovkov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vovkov is holding on for now.
Silva wants to control but Vovkov is keeping him busy.

Silva seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Vovkov has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Silva. Oh but Vovkov has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Silva goes limp - he's gone! Vovkov jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
