The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Matterhorn uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bros has time to react.
Bros checks a leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Von Matterhorn. Those never looked like landing.
Von Matterhorn gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bros takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Von Matterhorn throws a nice inside leg kick.
Von Matterhorn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Diaz Bros has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bros thows a leg kick but Von Matterhorn checks it
and Von Matterhorn counters quickly with a head kick that drops Bros to the mat! The referee starts the count at 3 - will Bros be able to get back to his feet in time? 4,5,6, he's up. He looks OK so we'll continue the action!
Von Matterhorn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Von Matterhorn throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Von Matterhorn scoring well with a low kick there.
Bros looks winded!
Von Matterhorn connects with a body shot that sends Bros 's belly button to the back.
Von Matterhorn lands a front kick to the face, that drops Bros to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!
Bros is rocked!
Von Matterhorn and Bros are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Von Matterhorn throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Bros into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Von Matterhorn knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lorenzo Von Matterhorn!
