The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa avoids the head kick by Kranjcar.
Balboa misses with the combination.
Balboa cracks a nice hook into Kranjcar's ribs.
Kranjcar throws a head kick that misses
and Balboa counters with an inside leg kick.

and Balboa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Niko Kranjcar has been cut.
Balboa dips to his left and cracks Kranjcar with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kranjcar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

A good leg kick by Balboa.
Kranjcar looks winded!
Balboa thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kranjcar if he has to take too many more of those.
Balboa lands a slapping body shot.
Niko Kranjcar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Balboa lands a left and a right that send Kranjcar crashing to the mat, dazed. Balboa thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kranjcar is rocked!
Balboa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kranjcar is still on wobbly legs! Can Balboa finish him?
Kranjcar walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Kranjcar limp body while Balboa jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rocky Balboa!
In his post fight interview, Rocky Balboa started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
