Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martez Cortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sullivan has chosen Akira Yamaoka - Room of Angel as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortega throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sullivan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cortega looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sullivan scores with a punch to the head.

Cortega takes a swing at Sullivan's ribcage but misses.
Sullivan lands a leg kick that knocks Cortega off balance momentarily.
Sullivan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cortega.
Cortega will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cortega steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sullivan. That one must have hurt.

Cortega throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sullivan.

Cortega shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sullivan's guard.
Cortega is breathing heavily.
Sullivan wants to sweep but no luck.
Sullivan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sullivan wants to take a breather but Cortega is having none of it.

That's time! Cortega's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Cortega shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sullivan sprawls well. Sullivan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cortega gets slowly back to his feet.
Sullivan has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Walter Sullivan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cortega throws a front kick that sends Sullivan stumbling back into the cage.

Sullivan lands a nice hook to Cortega's body. Cortega takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A solid leg kick lands there for Sullivan.

Sullivan scores with a hook to the body. Cortega takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Sullivan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Cortega is rocked!
Sullivan fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Cortega to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Cortega looks to clinch but Sullivan throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Cortega taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
